ポール・ウィンターがコロラド州クレストンにあるサングレ・デ・クリスト山脈、グレート・サンド・デューンズ砂丘、サン・ルイス渓谷の自然をテーマに制作した野心作。標高3500mの高山湖の音響を利用し、和太鼓やバスクラリネットを含むさまざまな楽器、そしてネイティブ・アメリカンの歌声が大自然と共鳴する。第52回グラミー賞を受賞。
